We are working on a series of Cloud based connectors in line with our strategy to provide hybrid cloud computing solutions to businesses. One of the products in this line is the one that connects Salesforce.com with Sharepoint. Consider this simple scenario:


The business Situation
The customer and opportunity data resides in Salesforce.com while Sharepoint is the Enterprise Content Management and Collaboration tool in which all documents related to the customers reside. For ex, Proposals , Contracts, Inventory reports etc. The challenge is to bring the Salesforce.com data into Sharepoint to get a 360 deg view of the customer from one place at any given point in time.

Solution
Out Salesforce.com <-> Sharepoint connector bridges the cloud and the on premises world by keeping the data in sync. We employ a variety of different technologies depending on the nature of the topology and the version of the Sharepoint server in use from Business Data Catalog ( BDC ) to Sharepoint Webservices and the Sharepoint Object model.
